Marylebone Town Hall Wedding | Sarah’s Bridal Hair & Makeup

There is something so special about a London wedding, and Marylebone Town Hall is one of those venues that always feels effortlessly elegant.

I had the pleasure of creating Sarah’s bridal hair and makeup for her beautiful Marylebone wedding before she headed to The Old Marylebone Town Hall for her ceremony, followed by celebrations at The Grazing Goat nearby.

For Sarah’s bridal look, we wanted to create something soft, polished and timeless.

Her hair was styled to feel elegant without looking overly done, while her makeup was kept fresh and glowing, enhancing her features while still allowing her to feel completely like herself.

That balance is always really important to me when creating bridal hair and makeup. I want everything to photograph beautifully and last throughout the day, while still feeling natural when you look in the mirror.

Getting Ready for a London Wedding

The wedding morning is one of my favourite parts of the day.

For London weddings, I always plan the hair and makeup timeline around the time the bride needs to leave for the ceremony rather than simply working backwards from the ceremony time.

I usually aim to have my bride completely finished around an hour before she needs to leave. This gives plenty of time to get into the dress, add the veil and accessories, have final touch-ups and enjoy some photographs without feeling rushed.

My aim is always for the morning to feel calm and organised, so that when it is finally time to leave for Marylebone Town Hall, you can simply enjoy it.

Mother of the Bride Hair and Makeup

I also had the pleasure of getting Sarah’s beautiful mum ready for the wedding.

For the Mother of the Bride, I created soft, glowing makeup with individual lashes to subtly define the eyes, paired with a beautiful bouncy blow-dry.

I always love getting mums ready alongside the bride. It becomes such a lovely part of the wedding morning and means everyone can relax and enjoy getting ready together.
